The council of representatives held on 1/8/2012 the twelfth session of the first legislative term for the third year under chairmanship of Osama Al-Nujaifi, the chairman of the council of representatives. The session included the following:

 
- Presence 235 members.

-The presidency decided to delay voting on each of the draft law of Federal Supreme Court and the draft law of Supreme Judicial Council submitted by the legal committee to tomorrow's session.

-The council voted in principle on refusing to continue to read the draft law of the federal supplementary budget of Republic of Iraq for the financial year 2012, submitted by the committees of financial, legal, economy and investment.

- The council voted on the second amendment proposal of the election law of councils of the provinces and districts and sub-districts No. (36) for the year 2008, submitted by committees of regions and provinces and legal.

- Voting on the draft law of the fourth amendment for the law of Cancer Council in Iraq No. (63) for the year 1985, submitted by the health committee.

- The council voted on the draft law of Diwan of Awqaf Christians and Yazidis and Mandaeans, submitted by the Awqaf committee.

- Voting on the draft law of students grant of governmental universities and institutes of Iraq, submitted by the committee of higher education and scientific research for supporting the Iraqi students from the sons of people with limited incomes in the governmental universities and institutes and encouraging them to continue and complete their studies.

- The second reading of the proposed law to amend the law of the Independent Higher Commission for Human Rights.

The session was adjourned until Thursday 2/8/2012.
