 On (12/5/2020), the House of Representatives held its twenty-fourth session of the first legislative term for the third year, the fourth electoral cycle headed by Mr. Muhammad Al-Halbousi, and the session included:



 - Representative Kata'a al-Rikabi recited a statement in which he recalled the heinous crime committed by the defunct Baathist regime.



 - Reading Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq and the souls of the ladies and gentlemen of representatives, Ghaida Kampash, Hussein Al-Zuhairi and Ali Al-Aboudi, who passed away after being infected with the Corona virus.



 - Voting against the refugee bill, and returning it to the government at the request of the concerned committee.



 - Voting on the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Convention on Limits of Liability for Maritime Claims of 1976 as amended by the 1996 Protocol, including the amended limits of liability submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.

 - The first reading of the draft law on the accession of the Republic of Iraq to the International Convention on Intervention on the High Seas in the event of accidents causing oil pollution for the year 1969 and the Protocol relating to the intervention on the high seas in cases of pollution by substances other than oil for the year 1973 submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.



 - The first reading of the draft law on ratifying the air transport services agreement between the government of the Republic of Iraq and the government of the United Arab Emirates, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.



 - The Council discussed important issues, including the reasons for not including a number of universities and colleges in the form (Employment Initiative), in addition to calling for the formation of a body for the equitable distribution of federal funds overseeing the management of federal government funds, reducing rampant poverty in some governorates, as well as accelerating the disbursement of farmers ’dues.  Emphasizing the need to activate the recommendations of Resolution (77) related to Abdallah's incense, noting the importance of legislating the law against domestic violence, in addition to addressing the stages of work in the large port of Faw as well as government investments outside Iraq.



 - The session was adjourned to Monday 7/12/2020
