 On (1/10/2023), the House of Representatives held its seventeenth session of the second legislative term of the second legislative year of the fifth electoral cycle, headed by Muhammad Al-Halbousi, and the session included:

 

-Representative Haider Al-Salami read a statement in which he recalled the start of the October Revolution demonstrations four years ago and the stand of the Iraqi people in all its denominations, pointing to the sacrifices of young people from the martyrs and the wounded who shed their blood on the guillotine of freedom, demanding the need to hold the killers of demonstrators and activists accountable and bring them to justice to receive their just reward and accelerate the enactment of a fair protest law that prevents the occurrence of victims, pointing out that the October revolution was an Iraqi cry in the face of corruption, tyranny and looting the country's wealth and expressed the aspirations of young people to live in dignity and free life away from the power of weapons.

Voting resumed on a number of articles of the draft law on statistics and geographic information systems submitted by the Strategic Planning and Federal Service Committee.

- Postponing the vote on the draft law of the National Authority for Nuclear, Radiological, Chemical and Biological Regulation submitted by the Health, Environment, Higher Education and Scientific Research Committees
