On (10/2/2024), the House of Representatives held its deliberative session under the chairmanship of the First Vice-Speaker Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, and the session included:


- The Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives expressed the House rejection and denunciation of the attacks on Iraq from any side, under any pretext, and condemned the US attacks on the Popular Mobilization Forces and its leaders, while calling on the government to take measures to protect Iraq's security, adding that the House of Representatives supports the government in diplomatic measures to prevent the targeting of Iraqi territory, and the commitment of all parties to international conventions, and for Iraq to be a factor of stability in the international and regional environment, as well as calling for the implementation of House Resolution No. (18) of 2020. related to the removal of foreign forces and the termination of their tasks in Iraq based on the development of Iraqi security capabilities and the absence of any new agreement with foreign forces that require survival.

-Reading a statement of condemnation on the US administration's blatant aggression on Iraqi territory by launching attacks on facilities and leaders of official government institutions without any consideration for Iraqi sovereignty, pointing out that the criminal method of carrying out assassinations inside Iraq and official institutions shows the reality of the intentions exploited by US forces under the cover of helping Iraq in the war on terrorism, and carrying out aggressive actions despite the assurances addressed to them of the need to respect the country's sovereignty, and not to target the resistance factions and its men, with the need to remove US forces from Iraq after they have become a threat to the safety of its citizens.

-The Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives announced the receipt of a request submitted by 100 Representatives to refer the proposed law to remove foreign forces from Iraq to the legal, security and defense committees, pointing out that it is the government's duty to ask these forces to leave Iraq due to the expiration of the security agreement.

-The House recited Surat Al-Fatihah in honour of the martyrs of Iraq.

- Mr. Mohsen Al-Mandalawi, Acting Speaker of the House of Representatives,Directing to form a parliamentary committee to follow up the procedures of the negotiations conducted by the Iraqi Government with the international coalition forces to end their presence in Iraq, and inviting the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces to attend the relevant officials during the current week to discuss attacks on Iraq's sovereignty.
