Session Report
The Council of Representatives held on (9/3/2026) its twelfth session of the first legislative term of the first legislative year of the sixth electoral cycle, chaired by Speaker Haibat Al-Halbousi. The session included:
_ Voting on the Parliamentary Conduct Committee chaired by MP Faleh Al-Sari with the membership of MPs Hanan Al-Fatlawi, Hussein Al-Battat, Mohammed Al-Karbouli, Habib Al-Hallawi, Ahmed Mudhhir, Shakhawan Abdullah and Naji Al-Shammari.
_ The taking of the constitutional oath by Mr. Ahmed Mohammed Hussein Al-Mubarqa to assume membership of the Council of Representatives, replacing Mr. Nouri Al-Maliki.
_ Voting on the members of the Legal Affairs Committee, comprising MPs Sara Latif Al-Dulaimi, Mohammed Nouri Al-Karbouli, Safouk Al-Uzair, Rikan Hamad, Rebwar Hadi, Farouq Mohammed, Iman Haider, Omar Kocher, Bahaa Al-Araji, Ahmed Kamil, Thaer Jasim, Hussein Hashim Al-Hallawi, Murtadha Al-Ibrahimi, Mohammed Al-Khafaji, Ali Saber Kamil and Ibtisam Al-Hilali.
_ The Speaker called on the heads of the parliamentary blocs to expedite finalizing the submission of the names of committee members for voting at next Wednesday's session.
The session was then adjourned until next Wednesday.
