The Fourteenth Session

The Council of Representatives holds its fourteenth session of the second legislative term of the first legislative year of the sixth electoral cycle, chaired by Mr. Haibat Al-Halbousi, Speaker of the Council, today, Thursday 27/8/2026. The session included

- First reading of the draft Law Repealing the Law Ratifying the Economic Unity among the States of the Arab League No. (169) of 1963, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee

- First reading of the draft Law on the Ratification by the Republic of Iraq of the Agreement on Partnership and Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Iraq and the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.

- First reading of the draft Law on the Accession of the Republic of Iraq to the Convention Relating to International Exhibitions signed in Paris in 1928, as supplemented by the Protocols of 1948, 1966 and 1972 and amended in 1982 and 1988, submitted by the Foreign Relations Committee.
