 The House of Representatives held on (16/3/2021) its forty-fourth session of the first legislative term for the third year, the fourth electoral cycle headed by Mr. Muhammad al-Halbousi, and the session included:


 - Representative Nabil al-Tarfi recited a statement in which he recalled the bombing of the city of Halabja with chemical weapons, which revealed to the whole world the ugly face of the former regime, pointing out that murder, execution and mass graves are the predominant characteristic of this system, adding that this calls us to build a democratic society, calling for the preservation of unity  Iraq appreciates the sacrifices of the people of the Kurdistan Region and their effective contribution to the collapse of the former regime and the building of the new Iraq, calling for respect for constitutional frameworks and democracy in the service of the Iraqi people.


 Reading Surat Al-Fatiha for the souls of the martyrs of Halabja and Iraq.


 - MP Bakhtiar Jabbar recited a statement demanding the completion of the procedures for considering Halabja as a governorate in addition to the demand for resolving the file of children displaced to Iran from the city of Halabja, as well as compensation for the victims of the stricken city, similar to the procedures for compensation for the victims of the previous regime.


 - voting unanimously on a resolution calling on the government to expedite the completion of the legal procedures for declaring Halabja Governorate.





 - Representative Muthanna Al-Samarrai recited a statement denouncing the heinous crimes committed by the terrorist organization ISIS in the liberated governorates, the last of which was the heinous crime that occurred in Salah al-Din Governorate, calling for the youth of those areas to be involved in managing the security file and intensifying the security and intelligence effort, pointing to a major government failure in these  Provinces.


 - Reading Surat Al-Fatihah on the souls of the martyrs of Iraq, especially Salah al-Din Governorate.





 - Mr. Tadia (Shabal Hassan Ramadan Safar) was sworn in as a substitute for Representative (Aram Naji Muhammad), who passed away after being infected with the Corona virus.


 A number of women and gentlemen of parliament demanded that the financial benefits of martyrs, prisoners, and wounded be included in the general budget law.



 After that, it was decided to adjourn the session next Thursday
