The Council of Representatives held on (25/1/2026) its sixth session of the first legislative term of the first legislative year of the sixth electoral cycle, chaired by Speaker Haibat Al-Halbousi, with (226) MPs in attendance. The session included:

_ The Speaker announced that next Tuesday's session was set for the election of the President of the Republic.

_ The taking of the constitutional oath by Hiyam Abboud, Razzaq Muhaibis, Ziyad Ali, Abbas Jabr, Mohammed Tamim, Ibrahim Namis and Naeem Al-Aboudi to assume membership of the Council of Representatives.

_ Voting on forming a temporary parliamentary committee to follow up on the appointment of medical profession graduates with the Ministry of Health.

_ The taking of the constitutional oath by Mr. Thabit Al-Abbasi to assume membership of the Council of Representatives.
