The Council of Representatives held on 7/2/2013 the eleventh session of the second legislative term for the third year under chairmanship of Osama Al-Nujaifi, the Speaker of Council of Representatives. The session included the following:

- Presence 184 members.

- The women bloc in the Council of Representatives read a statement, in which they refused to be part of or a cause in loss of more lives and bloodshed, demanding in the name of mothers in peace because it's the only methodology to build Iraq and to preserve the future of young people seeking to reconstruct the country, stressing condemnation of violence in all its forms and the right of citizens to demonstrate peacefully and achieve the just demands.

- The Council voted on the draft law of the first amendment on the law of night guards No.(8) of 2000, submitted by the committee of security and defense.

- MP Mudhir Al Janabi read the report of prosecutor general about closing the prison in the headquarters of division 17 and its brigades.

- The Council hosted Mr. Muhannad Al-Saadi, Minister of Water Resources, in a general invitation to discuss the rise of water levels.

 

The session was adjourned until Saturday 9/2/2013.
